Liverpool's shocked with the 1-2 lost against Barnsley
Goalscorer during the match : Dirk Kyut (32mins), Steve Foster (57mins) and Brian Howard(90+2mins)Honestly, i'm totally disappointed with the way Rafael Benitez set the formation for the match, and also previous 3-4 matches. I was so frustrated, also all Liverpool fans out there, watching the match. Some of the players were so not in their form. I'm also disappointed about the substitutions that Rafa made during the match. How could he just substitute Ryan Babel for Harry Kewell when Babel was in form during the match. I'm aware that he was planning to rest Babel for the next match which is Champions League match against one of the Italian strongest club, Inter Milan. But why Babel who was performing greatly with lots of assist he made especially creating Liverpool's only goal in the match which finished with a "cool" strike by Dirk Kyut? Even Liverpool skipper, Steven Gerrard was not in the starting line-up for the match because actually rafa wanted to rest him for the Champions League match and he was substituted for Lucas Leiva who's not, in my opinion, performing very well in that match although he had few chances to give Liverpool a 2-0 lead. Another thing here is, I don't think that Liverpool second choice keeper, Itandje suits Liverpool style of play because during the match i could see that he was lack of confidence. I know that he didn't play many matches in this season as he's only played for the FA Cup matches and League Cup matches for but still that's not the reason for not performing well for the club and as i watched the match he seemed so lazy. Well done to Luke Steele, Barnsley goalkeeper, for lots of beautiful and acrobatic saves during the match which had kept Liverpool goalless in the seond-half of the match.
As a Liverpool fan, i'm looking forward to see Liverpool performing much better, or should i say, performing in their standard because i do believe that Liverpool is one of the stongest and well-known football club in the world and the strongest football club in the Premier League and i do still believe Rafa can manage his team and wake all the players to realise what they can actually achieve in the future. Personally Rafa is really a great manager and i know that he had some plans for the team, that's why he use the player rotation style.
